Exercise 1.5 – Configuring the Hostname

Prerequisites:

• You must have root access to the system.
• By default, the hostname is set to localhost but you can change it.

Steps:

1. Login to Cockpit.
2. Click on System/Overview.
   
3. Click on Current hostname (Which is by default set to localhost)
4. In the change hostname dialog box enter the hostname.
5. Click on change.
   

Task by Trainer:-

• Check the Hostname.
• Set hostname as “rhel8.example.com“.
